About Us
Morgan Woods
Founder
There's an opportunity to invigorate the health field with new eager workers. We can teach young people to offer their services enthusiastically with practical guidance in the clinical space. Who better to offer services to but undocumented and uninsured patients? Health coverage plays a key role in improving people's health outcomes and quality of life. Undocumented immigrants are ineligible for federal coverage subsidies and cant use marketplaces to enroll in unsubsidized coverage.
As a Physician Associate with a Master's in Anatomy and Post Master's in Education in the Health Professions, I have developed a currriculum to empower new-comers in medicine to use what knowlege they have to empact the lives of new-comers to our country and others who need health resources. We can not look to large institutions to help people with basic healthcare. Impactful care comes from the community where barriers are minimal.
In a medical arena where burn-out is real, we must not slack on training for our future professionals. It is more important than ever to ensure that we have a generation of competent professionals to care for us in the future. Meridian Community Health Foundation seeks to provide programs that bring the best medicine has to offer for the provider and the community.
